ATraveling by Train and Free Shuttle Bus service

Tokyo Station ⇔ the Pola Museum of Art

The Tokaido Shinkansen (Bullet Train) is convenient for rapid transportation within a short time. The ride from Tokyo Station to Odawara Station takes about 35 min. Then, take Hakone Tozan Train to Hakone Yumoto Station (10 min.), and then take Hakone Tozan Railway to Gora station (40 min). From the Gora Station, you can take the Pola Museum of Art free shuttle bus directly to the museum (8 min).

Shinjuku Station ⇔ the Pola Museum of Art

For access from Shinjuku Station, the Odakyu “Romancecar” train is popular. On this train, the trip to Odawara Station takes about 90 minutes. Then, take Hakone Tozan Train to Hakone Yumoto Station (10 min.), and then take Hakone Tozan Railway to Gora station (40 min). From the Gora Station, you can take the Pola Museum of Art free shuttle bus directly to the museum (8 min).

From Shinjuku / Ikejiri-Ohashi

Bus service to the Pola Museum of Art with one transfer
Take the highway bus (Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus) from Shinjuku or Ikejiri-Ohashi to Senkyoro. (Approx. 2 hours, 1,940 yen), At Senkyoro, transfer to the Gora Station / Yunessan bus bound for the tourist information center. Get off at the Pola Museum of Art bus stop about three minutes later. (about 3 minutes, 200 yen).

For those traveling by car: As street numbers in the Kozukayama, Sengokuhara neighborhood refer to a wide area, it is best to input the name of the facility (“Pola Museum of Art”) or search by telephone number (“0460-84-2111”) when using a car-navigation system.

Via Gotenba

From the Tokyo IC to the Gotemba IC via the Tomei Expressway - about 60 minutes (about 84 km | 2,620 yen)
From Gotemba IC to Route 138 for Hakone - about 25 minutes (approx. 13 km)

Via hakone-yumoto

Take the Tomei Expressway from Tokyo IC to Atsugi IC.
⇒ From Atsugi IC to Hakoneguchi IC via Odawara-Atsugi Road - about minutes (about 67 km | 2,040 yen)
From Hakone-guchi IC, take Route 138 toward Sengokuhara - about 30 minutes (approx. 15 km)
