No reservations are needed to enter the museum.
However, groups of 15 or more, or visitors traveling by chartered bus are required to make a prior reservation.
Those without a prior reservation will not be allowed to enter the museum.Please be advised that during busy periods, you may not be able to reserve your desired date.
When the museum is crowded, the number of visitors in the galleries will be limited.
When the number of visitors is limited, you may be asked to temporary wait outside the gallery.

In order to allow as many children as possible to come into contact with art, the museum began waiving admission for children of junior-school age and younger on August 10, 2019.

Admission Policy
Please place large bags (B4-size and larger) in a locker.
Dangerous articles, smell-emitting items, and fresh flowers and other living things are not allowed in the museum.
Please place umbrellas in the umbrella stand.
Please refrain from using the following items in galleries:
Food and drinks (including water, candy, and chewing gum)
Tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, and portable fans
Fountain pens, ballpoint pens, and other writing utensils except pencils
Baby carriers (worn on the back)
Pets with the exception of assistance dogs for people with visual, hearing or another disability
Please be advised that those under the influence of alcohol may be refused entry.
Smoking is prohibited throughout the museum.
Please refrain from touching displays and works.Please switch your cell phone to silent mode and refrain from talking on it in the galleries.
Please comply with any instructions given by the museum staff.

Tickets for adults can be purchased at all of the locations listed. However, tickets for high school and university students are only available at convenience stores or as e-tickets.

Restaurant Reservations
Only groups of visitors are allowed to make reservations for the restaurant.
Please make your reservation at least one week in advance of your visit. A special menu for groups is also available.

Parking Information
The special bus-parking area can be used free of charge.
Audio Guide
Focusing primarily on notable works on display, the guides provide audio information on between 40 and 50 items. With easy-to-operate buttons, the device allows you to enjoy looking around the museum at your own pace.
In addition to descriptions of the artworks, the audio guide allows you to select information on other subjects such as the history of the Pola Museum of Art, the museum architecture, and painting techniques.
